The Last Race Meeting, 1968

Melbourne's Peter Manton and Sydney's Brian Foley were among the Eastern States drivers who turned out for Caversham's Grand Finale, the WA Touring Car Championship on 27 October 1968. The last race ever held at Caversham was a 5-lap handicap, won by Melbourne's Norm Beechey (Monaro 327; he had ealier won the Touring Car title) from Perth's John Alford (Mini). (Paul Boxsell)
